I don't really have a favorite songwriter. Although if I would have to pick one it would be Matraca Berg because I am named after her. She often writes songs for Martina McBride and Reba Mcintire, but her most famous song is probably "Strawberry Wine" by Deanna Carter.

I am here to say that one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time would have to be the one and only prince just because he rocks. come on who doesn't love Purple Rain.
I wouldn't say that Prince is the greatest ever but he is really close. Purple rain is one of the greatest songs ever made. He has stood the test of time. I would have to say that elvis is the greatest singer ever.
